Umgawa Adventures:
You can see the rainforest in the mountains from anywhere on Langkawi Island and now you have a safe, thrilling and exciting way to experience it as never before possible. Umgawa is the island’s first world-class zipline eco-adventure tour that is a fun and educational way for the whole family to share the thrill of a lifetime. Spend 2.5 hours soaring along 12 different ziplines past waterfalls and experiencing spectacular views all around you and all the way to the Andaman Sea. This is a truly eco-adventure that allows you to get close to many of Langkawi Geopark’s 550 million-year- old geological wonders and its wildlife.
Safety is the number one priority as you take on this adventure. Each group of a maximum of nine guests is accompanied by two internationally-certified Safety Sky Ranger Guides. In addition to being highly-trained and certified safety rangers, they also serve as guides and will educate you about the rainforest and its inhabitants, its 220 species of birds, and the tropical flowers and fauna surrounding you.

Ride leisurely through secondary rainforest, while crossing an enchanting jungle stream at the Seven Wells Waterfall. Next, head towards Pantai Kok Beach where Telaga Harbour soon comes into view. At Telaga Harbour, take a break and admire the gorgeous sail and power yachts glistening in the Mediterranean-like marina before taking a ride back to the Perdana Stables through the pine groves along the lovely beach.
We provide all riders with quality riding gear such as saddles, safety hats and tacks. We have a strict rule that all riders must wear safety hats as riders' safety is our prime concern. Our team of capable and certified horsemen and horsewomen will accompany riders throughout all rides, with the strictest instructions to ensure riding safety under all circumstances.

What's Your Riding Skill?
We welcome you to ride with us! Before booking your ride, please take a moment to ascertain your riding experience and skill level, as well as our rules and regulations.
For the safety and enjoyment of our guests, all riders are required to inform us of their riding abilities by selecting one of the following levels as stated below:
1) INEXPERIENCED: Never ridden before.
2) BEGINNER: Have had some riding experience, but have never had lessons with an instructor.
3) NOVICE: Have had lessons with a qualified instructor and I am aware of all basic riding requirements. However, not a regular rider and have not ridden for some time.
4) EXPERIENCED: A certified horseman, skilled in all basic horse knowledge and riding techniques.
Riding Policy
•Maximum weight of rider is 90kg.
•Two person per horse are not permitted.
•Rider must agree to submit to an assessment of riding ability.
•Rider must wear helmet at all time.
•Rider must follow instruction of the trail leader and stay within the pace dictated by the trail leader, this will be restricted to a walk, trot and controlled canter.
•Rider must understand that under no circumstances will an extend canter or gallop be permitted.
•Island Horses Sdn Bhd have the right to cancel any ride on the grounds of safety.
•Those not adhering to above rules can have their ride terminated.
•Location may be vary, subject to season and weather condition.
Children Policy
Minimum age for children age is 4 years and above. Most of children will be on lead rope unless the children have taken proper riding lesson with qualified instructor and used to ride horses. We will be using normal size horses and not pony for children.

0830hrs: Arrive Island Horses, meet and greet. Get geared up and have a short brief.
0900hrs: Ride leisurely through secondary rainforest, while crossing an enchanting jungle stream at the Seven Wells Waterfall. 1000hrs: Back to Island Horses stables and get ready for your zipline adventure at Umgawa.
1015hrs: Transfer to Umgawa, merely 1 minute drive away, meet and greet by the Umgawa team. You will be ushered to be seated and given a short description of our tour and presented with our home made lemongrass welcome drink. Registration forms include liability waivers and medical issues, if any, and confirmation of your email address so you can receive up to 4 free photos.
Free lockers for your belongings. Hi res photos are also available for purchase in our gift shop.
Gear up:
We use only the best equipment, Petzl and begin placing a bandana for you (take home as momento), followed by the helmet, full body harness and the pulley set.

Safety Briefing:
When you are all geared up, we will proceed to the Safety Briefing area for a short safety talk and demonstration by your 2 skyrangers.

1100hrs: Next, a short drive to the last point for vehicles at the Seven Wells rainforest, Then walk the jungle steps, approximately 3 minutes, to reach our 1st platform and starting point. Big Waterfall Adventure consist of 12 ziplines of various lengths, 3 suspended skybridges & 1 thrilling abseil. Your skyrangers will take care of all safety aspects of the tour, so just sit back and enjoy the flight. The skyrangers will give you commentary about the rainforest, our trees, birds and the legends of Langkawi.

If you are lucky, you may spot the Great Hornbill, Dusky Leaf Monkeys and some flying primates. Enjoy ziplining over the waterfalls on our two longest lines measuring at approximately 200 meters and at heights of approximately 80 meters. Zipline with your partner, your child or your friend on our double zip, Honeymoon zipline. In between the ziplines, you will experience the canopy suspended skybridges. Your last experience on the canopy, is the thrilling abseil down to the ground. You can explore a bit more nature on the short 4 minute jungle walk back to our basecamp where.

1300hrs: Cold towels will refresh you, take a look at our professional photo images captured for you and a food or coconut voucher to use in our quaint village. Water is available throughout the tour.
1315hrs: Umgawa zipline experience ends. You may proceed to visit the Seven Wells Waterfalls or get a ride from us to the Oriental Village/Skycab.
*Free return transfer back to Berjaya Hotel, The Danna or Geopark Hotel.
